The Winners program is designed to be an enjoyable and highly engaging activity for kids aged 9 to 14.
The main purpose is to provide the opportunity for kids to have fun and to get them out playing and enjoying tennis
* Ideal for kids new to the game, or advanced kids (novice to advanced)
* No sign-up required... it is an after school drop-in program
* Kids can come over right after school or drop-in whenever they can. They will be easily rotated in
* The environment is casual with good fun and lots of music and activity
* The playing format is quick rotations and mixing up the partners
* Good chance to learn about tennis and practice their skills
* The more kids the better!!

The Junior House league program will follow our “Winners” program. This program is a volunteer based program and parents are encouraged to help.
The program will be a combination of real games, tennis skill development games, and instructional (good habits) development. The ultimate goal of our Junior House league program is to encourage a “fun” atmosphere in which our juniors can learn and develop skills in tennis.
Experienced players will quickly move to real tennis matches (singles and doubles) with players of similar talent. For these players, development goals will be suggested for things such as shot placement, positioning, and strategy. With minimal adult intervention, creativity and problem solving skills should flourish and these players will begin to develop their “own” game.
As the season begins, junior players who are new to the game of tennis, or with limited experience, will receive more instruction in ground strokes, volleys, and serving through fun drills and development games.
As the season progresses, these players will receive more time to just play the game and will quickly move into real game situations where instruction is replaced with suggestions. As the season comes to an end the players will have the confidence and basic skills to play their own matches with friends and family.
For players below the age of 10, we will ask that the parents be involved and we will provide the equipment and support needed for their child's tennis development. We will continue to run the program through May and June and will decide on summer dates later.
Lastly, we would suggest that new players NOT purchase a racquet yet and use the racquets we have at the club house. For those wishing to purchase a racquet, we will help to provide insight in the selection process.
